More Than Temporary Bliss- My First Time Seeing and Meeting Them
Last night was my first time seeing The Cab in concert and it was honestly one of the greatest nights of my life. Their show was absolutely phenomenal with a good mix of their most popular songs and stripped versions of their other songs. In between Alex would talk about how grateful he is for his fans and dedicated the set to Whitney Houston. Apparently Philly was the biggest crowd of the whole tour so it was definitely exciting and loud. The entire crowd new the words to the songs and sang along. In my opinion, it went by way too fast and I wished they could have played a few more songs but what they did play was pretty magical. They then promised to meet every single person after the show for as long as it took, even though we were the largest crowd. The boys were so humble and sweet and I was so nervous to meet them. I met Joey first but after his hug and hearing him say “totes magotes” I melted and began to open up to them. I then met Alex Marshall and he was so adorable and I told him how excited I was to meet them and he asked me if I liked the show and how happy he was that I came. I was just so honored to be in the same room as them, but they’re really so easy to talk to and will talk to you about anything and everything. Last I went to meet Alex DeLeon, but the venue closed right as I was about to say hello. He stood true to his word and walked outside onto the streets of Philly with an icy cold wind whipping apologizing to US and thanking US for standing in the cold with him. He called everyone sweetheart and hoped we could make it back for another show and how grateful he was again for our presence and so happy that I got to finally see them. I was in such a state of bliss leaving the show and I know this is a night I’ll remember forever. It’s so rare to find guys like these in a rock band and to know that we the fans have a huge impact on them just like they do on us.
